Announcing the 2024 Leadership Development Cohort

Learning & and professional development are foundational to CoreNet, both at the Global level and within the Northern California Chapter. CoreNet Global’s learning programs, including the MCR and QPCR, are excellent and are highly recommended to all members.

In addition to CoreNet Global’s offerings, the Northern California chapter is once again offering our highly specialized Leadership Development program, designed specifically for you to grow your leadership capabilities (and to do so a little closer to home with your more immediate peers).

Launched in 2022 by Emily Ransone & Robert Teed, the Leadership Development Cohort (LDC) is 60 hours of synchronous and asynchronous learning across three sections: Self-discovery, Operational Excellence, and Leadership Development. In addition to the 60 hours of formalized learning, each participant has access to 3-sessions of individual leadership/executive coaching.

The LDC helps you become a better leader. You do this through highly curated and experiential content delivered by professional facilitators within a cohort of your industry peers. And, you are supported by professional leadership/executive coaches along the way.

While the LDC is open to all CoreNet Northern California members, the content is geared towards emerging and mid-career leaders with 3-7 years of leadership and management experience, and with direct responsibility for leading and managing others (or the likelihood to do so in the near future).

LDC Snapshot:

  • 9-module learning series across the 3 sections of Self Discovery, Operational Excellence, and Leadership Development.
  • 60 hours of learning, plus up to 3 hours of 1:1 leadership/executive coaching
  • Cohort of 15 – 20 peers working contiguously across the 9 modules
  • 2-hour live learning sessions each month for 8 months, and one 4-hour capstone session in month 9.

LDC is open to all NorCal members, but you must apply to the program as participation is limited. If interested, the Expression of Interest application must be completed by Friday, November 17 at 5:00 pm PT. Acceptances into the LDC will be issued the week of December 5th and the first session begins on Tuesday, February 13, 2024.

We are very excited to bring this learning experience to you and we look forward to working with you across 2024!

Schedule

Sessions will be held on the second Tuesday of the month from 11:30 am - 1:30 pm PT, February through September 2024. We will meet in person three times throughout the course, for a kick-off on February 13, at the mid-way point, and for our Capstone Presentations on October 8th. The remaining sessions will all be held over Zoom.

IMPORTANT: It is required to participate in all sessions.

Cost

Cost will be $400 per participant (valued at over $1,000 per person.) The Chapter believes in providing value for our emerging leaders and will supplement the cost difference.

If accepted to the program, the program fee must be paid by the first session (February 13th). Participants may pay in two increments--due February 1 and April 1.

We don't want cost to be a barrier. Thanks to the generous support of the Chapter and Impec Group, scholarships are available. Simply complete this section on the Application.

Meet the Instructors

Each of our three LDC facilitators brings their unique perspectives and expertise to the program. As a professional facilitator and coach, Emily Ransone focuses on selfdiscovery, communication, and team dynamics. Robert Teed – a professional executive & leadership coach and facilitator -- focuses on his foundational leadership program and 1:1 leadership/executive coaching.
