Northern California Chapter Young Leader of the Year Award
The Chapter is proud to recognize Michelle Lagos, Director, Client Solutions at CBRE, as the 2018 Northern California Chapter Young Leader of the Year!
The Northern California Young Leader of the Year award celebrates and recognizes actively engaged young professionals who are implementing best practices and quantifiable achievements in the field and are pursing professional development opportunities. As our Chapter's Young Leader of the Year, Michelle has been put forward for CoreNet Global's Young Leader of the Year Award that will be announced at the Global Summit in Boston this October.
Michelle has had an incredible impact on the commercial real estate industry since beginning her career just over ten years ago. Starting her career in the Bay Area working for two prominent architecture firms for a combined six and a half years, she curated all of the internal and external marketing materials, focused on identifying new project opportunities, and managed the proposal and interview process. In late 2013, she moved to the commercial real estate service provider side quickly growing to the Proposal Development team lead in the West at Cushman & Wakefield. There she managed the pursuit process for global, multi service line accounts, bringing together diverse global teams to produce technically complex proposals. In early 2016 she joined the CBRE Client Sales and Solutions team and is a Director in the West division. In her role, Michelle brings together the best of CBRE's platform to develop innovative solutions to complex, large scale outsourcing initiatives for clients in a wide range of sectors.
While growing an impressive career, she has also been instrumental to the growth of CoreNet both locally and globally. Joining in 2008, she quickly got involved with the Young Leaders and helped transition this group to a committee that she co-chaired from 2009-2014. At the same time, she was serving on the Global Young Leaders committee and she chairs the Communication Subcommittee of that group today. In 2016, Michelle began serving as the Chapter Administrator for the Northern California Chapter of CoreNet and will continue in that role until 2020.
Outside of work, Michelle enjoys spending time with her husband and three kids. Michelle's strategic capabilities, drive, ability to inspire, and grace under pressure are a huge asset to all lucky enough to know and work with her.
