September Chapter Meeting: Reimagining Work-Life in the Bay Area | San Francisco

When:  Sep 15, 2016 from 03:30 PM to 07:00 PM (PT)
Associated with  Northern California

Join the CoreNet Global Northern California Chapter and SPUR in our third and last featured city, San Francisco, as the September Chapter Meeting concludes our three-part summer series, "Reimagining Work-Life in the Bay Area".

San Francisco's Southern Bay Shore encompasses the multiple neighborhoods south of Mission Creek - including Mission Bay, the Dogpatch and Hunters Point - where there are plans to add 35,000 new jobs and 520+ new and renovated acres of open space. What makes this area interesting for developers and end-users? What projects are planned or underway and how will the area meet the transportation demands of an additional 35,000 people? We'll hear from multiple perspectives on the revitalization on the Southern Bay Shore area, including successes and future plans.

Confirmed Speakers:

David Beaupre - Senior Waterfront Planner at the Port of San Francisco
Andy Wang - Development Associate - Forest City Development
Guneet Anand - Urban Designer - SITELAB
Josh Switzky - Urban Designer - SF Planning Department

Moderator - Allison Arieff - SPUR

Series Description:

The San Francisco Bay Area has a rich history of dreamers, creators, and visionaries. From cable cars to autonomous vehicles and from microprocessors to virtual reality, our region has long been the home of brave experimentation and innovation. This constant change and pressure on land use, transportation and cost presents as many challenges as opportunities for corporate real estate teams. Join CoreNet Global’s Northern California Chapter and SPUR (www.spur.org) in a series of programs in San Jose, Oakland and San Francisco to re-imagine Work-Life in the Bay Area – and learn more about what these cities are doing to create a more attractive offering to us as companies and communities.
