11 Weeks Intensive Real Estate Internship
May 26th, 2009 – August 8th, 2009

UC Berkeley Internship Application & Information

Thank you for your interest in the Summer 2009 Corenet Apprentice Program (CAP). Corenet (Corporate Real Estate Network) is the world’s premier association for professionals in corporate real estate and related fields. Through the Corenet Global Northern California Chapter network of sponsors and affiliates, we are able to deliver a unique, rotating summer internship to provide a select number of highly qualified students with a challenging and well-rounded overture into the various capacities and functions in corporate real estate.

Summer interns will rotate through two host companies and spend five weeks with each company. At each company, interns will have exposure to industry leaders, experience unique corporate cultures, and take on challenging projects and responsibilities. The rotating platform will allow students to gain experience in various areas of corporate real estate and while receiving invaluable mentorship from host leaders.

CAP requires a full-time commitment from the students during the 11-week session. Interns will be paid a stipend of $12 an hour.

Key Learnings are intended to focus on some or all of these areas:

Corporate Culture/Industry Dynamics
Market Research

Financial Analysis

Legal/Documentation

Product/Service Development & Implementation
We will finalize the list of participating companies shortly. Host companies will provide exposure and experience in the following areas of corporate real estate:

Architecture

Corporate Banking

Property Management

RE Development/REIT

RE Brokerage

Construction

Technology

Space Planning

Hospitality Management and others.
